INSTITUTE OF COGNITIVE NEUROSCIENCE, NATIONAL CENTRAL UNIVERSITY
The Brain & Behavior Laboratory is directed by Professor Neil G. Muggleton and is housed within the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience at National Central University, Taiwan. Our mission is to uncover the neural mechanisms that drive human cognition and behavior, bridging the gap between brain dynamics and observable performance in real-world tasks.
We investigate topics such as visual search, inhibitory control, brain stimulation, expertise in sport and art, working memory dynamics, and the neural underpinnings of aesthetic and perceptual experience. By integrating behavioral experiments, electrophysiology, and non-invasive brain stimulation techniques, we aim to generate mechanistic insights that inform both basic neuroscience and applied domains, such as cognition, rehabilitation, and human performance.
We welcome collaborations, prospective students, and research partnerships. If you share our interest in exploring how the brain shapes behavior, please explore our research pages or contact us for more information.
